Do you believe in the Paranormal

In the past years we have heard more about the paranormal then ever before. People investigating and collecting information, using different technology to capture what ever they could to prove various haunting. You must admit, that there truly has been more proof put out to the public then before. It seems as if people, are more willing to speak out about their personal experiences then before, not to say that haunting didn't occur years ago. No one was willing to talk about things that were happing in fear they would be look at in a strange way.
Charles Fort born on August 6-1874 was a writer and researcher. Fort wrote about alien abductions, paranormal and unexplained noises or explosions. It was hard for many to understand his writing. He was said, to be ahead of his time. His notes 60,000 of them were donated to the library and many of his books are still available for reading. He died on May 3-1932 at age 57.
I was surprised to find that 32%of Americans believe in ghost. I also found that there are different types of haunting:
Intelligent haunting is where an entity communicates with humans and is able to move things and make noises.
Residual haunting is when something continues over and over again like a video tape. This usually happens after a tragic event.
Fairies and elves people believe that fairies are related to UFO's they often abduct people, but will return them to the same place.
Elves such as the leprechauns are believed to be from the same family. They are general small and combined beauty and treachery. Leprechauns are just one of the numerous numbers of elves, to many to mention in this article. You may want to look up elves and read more about the different types.

An excellent article Carolee. I too, am amazed at the number of people who believe in such, some only minor things such as the Wigi Board, and others to the point that their lives are obsessed with thing like ghosts, demons, etc.Thank you for the kind words. I agree there are many enteties that we cannot see but do exist. I also feel there are great insights into the world of the paranormal in an old book.... it speaks much about "powers and principalities and rulers of wickedness in high places". I feel that is hitting the nail on the head and some of man's attempts at explaining have missed the mark. What do you think? Marijo (Mary Jo is how the name is pronounced - I had a creative dad)I guess I still am a bit of a skeptic. That is just part of my nature. But there has to be something to all this. I personally have never experienced it.
Carolee ~I think a bunch of this is because of pizza eaten late at night or something with a normal explanation. But when the Bible is speaking of the demonic realm I believe that is quite real - I also think many other phenomena (aliens, ghosts etc) could be demonic manifestations.
