A hard question to answer. " What is Love?"

Love is the beginning in two people’s lives.
Love is the beginning in a Childs life.
Love is respect and trust for one another.
Love is compassion for each other.

Love is made up of many emotions.
Love cannot be tossed like a token.
Love changes with each word spoken.
Love stands strong with each day that passes.
Love will never leave, when it is tested.

What is Love? I have heard this question asked.
Do I have an answer that is quite a task?
I have answered from the heart,
because I believe, that is were it starts.

When in doubt about the love question,
look in your heart without exception.

This was one of my first poems that was published.  I wrote it in sonnet form.  I t has been published in “The Path to Peace International Library of Poetry".  I was proud to share this with many readers.

Carolee was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1944.  Carolee always enjoyed writing poetry. It has been a great release for her feelings and it also gives her a chance to express feelings about life and the world around her.

Poetry can be written in many different forms.  In a story, various verse or a beautiful sonnet. It opens the door for many writers to express themselves.

Carolee is an 20 year survivor of cancer, and has been given a second chance at life.

Some of her awards are Skilled Poet , Skilled Reviewer and Two Outstanding Achievements in Poetry Editors Choice Awards International Library of Poetry.
